It’s common in Samara for hotel owners, chefs and surf teachers to be sought after, but now artists are in luck, as the organizers of Que Lindo Feria de Arte (How Beautiful Art Fair) still have plenty of available space.
If you are a Guanacastecan artist or a foreigner living in the province, you have the opportunity to show your work at the fair, which will be held on January 23 at the Samara Natural Center.
This is the third time the Que Lindo fair has been held. At last year’s fair, some 500 people came to the art expo.
According to Angelina Phillips, a member of the team of organizers, artists of all disciplines can participate, including painting, ceramics, fabrics and glass, among other techniques. Registration begins this Monday, December 15 and will continue until the day of the event.
Registration costs ¢2,000 ($3.75) before the event and ¢2,500 ($4.70) the day of the fair.
Phillips explained that the goal for the event is to promote local artists.
“Our idea is to promote culture and also help the artists. We think it is a good opportunity for local artists to present their work, and at the same time, get support from people who want to buy it,” said the organizer.
Those looking to communicate with organizers can do so by calling Paola Hernandez at 8384-1589 (she speaks Spanish, English and French) or sending an email to [email protected].
