On February 1 American Nick Fairman opened a juice and smoothie business at the pool bar of Gilded Iguana Hotel in Playa Guiones. He said that the space has been perfect to share their recipes because the place is open, fresh, without walls and close to the beach.
Fairman’s recipes are varied and some are very beneficial to your health. Everything is made from natural ingredients without preservatives, artificial coloring or sugar and, to the extent possible, with organic products.
Go Juice has professional extraction machines that take maximum advantage of the healing properties offered by the juice. A glass of a single ingredient costs 1500 colones ($3). There are also combinations of mixed ingredients like ginger, cucumber, beet and carrot to detoxify the body; apple, kale, spinach and cucumber for better blood circulation or a fresh watermelon mixed with mint, lemon and cucumber to keep the body hydrated, especially during these hot summer days.
If you want to cool off with a smoothie , enjoy the flavors that hot weather offers like “tropical colada” with pineapple, banana, coconut and passion fruit.
The price for all juices and smoothies is 2500 colones ($5). There is also ceviche for 2500 colones ($5), iced organic coffee, gelato from Sekret Spot and vegan chocolate chip cookies.
