For three years now, the Foundation for Costa Rican and U.S. Cooperation (CRUSA) has been organizing the CRUSAder of the Year event, a dinner that honors noteworthy citizens who have made important contributions to the sustainable development of Costa Rica.

This year, the event will celebrate the path to decarbonization and will feature Christiana Figueres as the keynote speaker, with her discourse Decarbonization of the Costa Rican Economy.

According to the organizers, 200 people from various organizations will attend the event, which makes it an ideal opportunity for networking.

After the dinner, people usually stand up and start talking to each other. It’s a very social program.” — Adriana Barrantes, CRUSA.

All of the funds raised will be donated to initiatives that promote the transformation of Costa Rica toward having a green, inclusive and sustainable economy, including The Voice of Guanacaste. Last year, more than $34,000 was raised and donated to more than 14 non-profit organizations associated with Amigos of Costa Rica, the U.S. subsidiary of CRUSA.

The activity will take place on November 4 at 6 p.m. at the Hotel Real Intercontinental. If you want to buy your ticket, you can do so through this platform and, at the same time, support the regional journalism that we do.
