Why drive three hours to Nosara and three hours back from the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia, when it could take just 15 minutes?
Nature Air Group is connecting these two Guanacaste locations via a direct flight between the Liberia airport terminal and the Nosara runway.
Jose Cortes, marketing manager for Nature Air Group, told The Voice of Guanacaste that flights would begin this high season, specifically December 1.
The flight is 15 minutes long and the cost is around $140 round trip. Departing from Liberia at 3:30 pm and arriving in Nosara at 3:45 pm. Nosara departure is at 9:30 am arriving in Liberia at 9:50 am. Pamela Carazo, manager of Harmony Hotel in Nosara, reported that several business owners in the area have approached Nature Air months ago to contemplate this possibility, which would be a benefit for many tourists who visit the Nicoyan district. “It’s a recurring complaint from tourists, especially due to the bad road conditions (of Route 160) and due to the distances, because many have to drive three hours each way. Without any doubt, I think it is a benefit because tourists would be arriving faster,” explained Carazo.
