If you are thinking of going to the 2015 Caricaco Music and Arts Festival on April 18th, the concert organizers are holding a special concert on Saturday, November 29th to sell tickets at a lower price.
The show will feature national reggae group Seka, who will perform an electro acoustic show in the pool bar Solo Bueno in Nosara, starting around 7:30 p.m. Admission for this day will cost ¢1,000 (about $1.85).
The group Seka has been part of the Costa Rican music scene for more than 15 years, with a repertoire that has transformed from punk rock to folk and lately to reggae.
In addition, according to Alejandro Gutierrez, producer of the Caricaco Festival, early bird tickets for the festival will be sold on Saturday, the 29th, at a cost of ¢12,000 (about $22.40). He stated that this will be the cheapest price at which tickets will be available, since the value will go up in the coming days.
For now, Gutierrez preferred not to reveal the lineup of bands invited or the locations of events, but he affirmed that this will be the best festival yet, since it will be three days of a lot of partying.
“What we want is for people to have a true festival experience and to be able to listen to a variety of groups instead of just one day of concerts. We’re really working very hard so the experience will be incredible,” the producer commented.
People in the San Jose area will not be excluded from the early bird sale. Starting December 12, they can also obtain tickets at Me Extraña Ropa Americana, a secondhand clothing store located in the La California neighborhood.
Gutierrez explained that in the next few weeks, they will be making known the names of the groups that will take part in the festival and other event details.
