Nosara

Kitson Library with New Books and New Hours

Esta publicación también está disponible en: Español

During a visit to San Jose, we had the opportunity to buy books, and we now have a new collection of literatura as well as children’s books.

In addition, we continue serving the Nosara community with programs for everyone. For example, we are offering a conversational English course for two months to third to sixth graders, ending in July. The classes are given by Kathy Muonio, a bilingual teacher from California, with a symbolic cost of 2000 colones ($4) per month.

We are also organizing book discussions. Manuel Cabezas led a very pleasant discussion on April 25 of the book El Che Guevara, which served to increase knowledge of this character. We will announce the next date in advance.

On May 4, we had an old-fashion dance for the senior citizens group with marimba and guitar. We had a lovely turnout, and the elderly and those who attended to support us had a great time. A special thanks to everyone who assisted financially. The funds raised will be used for group recreational activities.
