Laguna Mar: Food Fusion with the Guanacaste Seal

Esta publicación también está disponible en: Español

As a niceout-of-the-way spot in Guanacaste, the town of Bejuco of Nandayure holds images of beautiful beaches, ranches and lovely plains, but within the picturesque area, the Laguna Mar restaurant changes the flavor of the lowlands for something more alternative.

The site offers a fusion of Mediterranean, Asian and Latin American cuisine, led by Italian chef Pablo Rossi, who takes advantage of the area to buy products like seafood and vegetables.

One of the star dishes on the menu is the ravioli with shrimp, prepared in a white sauce with white wine. The dish costs ¢8,500 ($16).

The menu also seduces with an oven-baked seared tenderloin, accompanied by baked vegetables, covered in a pepper sauce, at the same price as the previous dish.

Those who want something lighter can opt for a traditional ceviche, an octopus brusqueta, seafood soup or seared tuna with an oriental salad, with prices ranging from ¢4,500 to ¢6,500 ($8.50 to $12.25).

To enjoy the good food, the site offers a good view of Bejuco, in addition to a relaxing white decor.
