According to the Royal Academy Spanish Dictionary, the word danger refers to imminent risk or possibility that something bad will happen, but at the Mala Noche bar and restaurant in Nosara, its connotation is revelry and good cheer.

On Saturday, July 18th, the Nosara venue will liven up the mood with a concert by the Mexican rap and dance hall band MC Peligro. If that weren’t enough, Guatemalan rockers Easy Easy will also be performing.

The lead singer of MC Peligro is Ethel Verduzco, who writes songs that have a reggaeton flavor with 90s influences. For their part, the Guatemalan performers offer an indie rock style and they are now promoting the single “Mint Condition,” which comes from the album “Todo lo que te digo está mal” (Everything I Tell You is Wrong).

The show is organized by Caricaco Festival and, according to its producer, Alejandro Gutierrez, the idea is to position the Caricaco Festival throughout the year during 2015 with musicians of international caliber.

“We want to show the Latin American talent that exists and be able to offer Nosara high-level concerts with groups that are doing a good job in other countries,” said the producer.

Concert tickets cost ¢2,000 (about $3.75) and are available starting July 5th in Mala Noche restaurant, behind Banco de Costa Rica in Nosara. Tickets can also be obtained at the same price on the day of the event.

The party will start at 8 p.m. with mood music by Costa Rican DJ Carolina Bavi Baviera.
