After a successful experience in Guiones Beach, Nosara, the SunsetCine crew are bringing their incredible screen to Potrero Beach, north of Tamarindo.

The event is at the Buena Vista Beach Restaurant where there is a pool, grass area and outside dining for watching the movies. Peter Hudson, from SunsetCine, says that “people are encouraged to bring blankets and pillows to sit on the grass.”

Movies will be shown every Friday of July, starting Friday July 11. All evenings will start with kids movies at 6 p.m sharp followed by the adults movies. Tickets are 2200 colones and children under 13 years old are free.

This Friday you could see a surf movie for kids and the exceptional Cuban musical documentary, Buena Vista Social Club (film) by Ry Cooder.

In case of rain, Hudson explains, “If it rains before commencing at 6pm, we would delay the start for 30 minutes to see if it clears.  If we cancel before the starting the first film, we will refund any admission”.

But if the rain interrupts after they have started and continue for 30 minutes “a credit will be given to those with a purchased ticket for the next event.  No refunds will be given,” said Hudson.
