Nosara’s beaches have done it again. The fame of this corner of the world is recognized worldwide, thanks to its nature, impressive waves and relaxed people. However, this time it isn’t the surf that brought the attention, but instead the tranquility that the district has to offer.
The web site Huffington Post, visited by thousands of people per day, included Nosara on its list of “The Best Surf Towns For People Who Don’t Actually Surf.”
The article has a list of eleven cities or small towns in the world, comparing our beautiful Nosara with the fashionable Montauk of New York, the raucous Florianopolis in Brazil and with San Sebastian, Spain, known worldwide for its cuisine, among other beaches.
The article says, “Playa Guiones is the most surf-able of Nosara’s beaches — hit Playa Garza to explore a chill fishing village and PlayaPelada if you’re into rugged hikes. Nosara is where your soul will float back down to Earth, whether with open-air yoga and a smoothie at The Harmony Hotel or frolicking among howler monkeys in the biological reserve.”
Nosara already received international fame through a CNN news network piece, as one of the “11 places to go in 2014,” and in National Geographic magazine, as one of the “Best Places to Visit in Winter 2014.”
In Costa Rica, the television channel Repretel also paid tribute to Nosara in a video explaining what it is that makes this place so special.
