This Tuesday, June 10, the Nosara Recycling and Waste Association (Asociacion de Reciclaje y Desechos de Nosara) will elect a new board of directors to continue efforts to clean up Nosara.
The assembly will be held at the Nosara Recycling Center and Environmental Classroom at 3 p.m. According to Jessica Sheffield, a member of the association, those interested in becoming a part of the group should be “very motivated to work to continue the efforts to resolve the trash problem and become a model for the rest of the country.”
There are six positions to be filled in the election: president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, fiscal (advisor) and vocal (another voting member).
Among other achievements, the association created the Nosara Recycling Center, has given environmental education presentations in the community and has cleaned beaches and roads.
