Since past February 11, and during each Monday, several City of Nicoya officials are visiting Nosara to offer municipal procedures.

Nosara residents will be able to pay construction permits, file complaints about construction jobs, pay taxes and obtain patent certificates and avoid having to travel to Nicoya.

City officials only used to come once a month.

Mayor Adriana Rodriguez said that the new visits are part of deal between the Nosara Development Association in an effort to better oversee construction, but the new idea is to offer as many services as possible, including clearing up doubts about trash collection that started recently.

On Monday, February 11, the first day that officials visited Nosara, the city collected ¢1.3 million ($2,100) in taxes.

What we want to do is make it easier for citizens to do municipal procedures so that they don’t have to come to Nicoya,” Rodriguez said. She added that the city is planning to open a permanent office in Nosara next year.

Officials will be at the Nosara Comprehensive Development Association (ADIN)  every Monday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information call to City of Nicoya telephone number 2685-8700.
