According to Olivier Perez, the Press Secretary for the Municipality of Nicoya, the new pavilion and cultural museum in the park are ready to be inaugurated on March 27. President Laura Chinchilla will be present for the ceremony, as well as Minister of Culture Manuel Obregon and Minister of Tourism Allan Flores.
The construction of the pavilion and cultural museum, at a cost of ₡125 million ($250,000), was financed by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute, Banco Popular, the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Nicoya.
The inauguration of the new library has been scheduled for the same day.
Perez said that everything is ready for the inauguration and that they are awaiting confirmation from the president’s office.
