Casa Corcovado, one of the villas in the luxury real estate project Epic Nosara, was listed for pre-sale on real estate company websites with prices up to $5,800,000 (around ¢2.8 billion). However, both Century 21 Nosara Real Estate and Nosara Real Estate Agency have removed it from their catalogs.

The Voice verified this on their websites after we revealed that the Municipality of Nicoya approved the construction of the project without obtaining water permits from the Asada of Playas de Nosara or the Water Directorate of the Ministry of Environment and Energy (Minae) for its construction and future operation.

The founder of Century 21, Bram Shook, confirmed to The Voice that they removed the Casa Corcovado villa from their listings. The Voice also wanted to ask Shook about the processes they use to verify properties before listing them. The businessman stated that he was unaware that the project lacked water approval and said he preferred not to comment further on the matter.

Casa Corcovado also appeared in the online catalog of the company Nosara Real Estate Agency. The Voice confirmed this through a Google search, but the listing has also been removed from that platform.

This outlet contacted the WhatsApp number of Nosara Real Estate, available on social media, to ask whether they were aware that Epic Nosara lacked permits and to learn about the processes they follow to verify compliance with legal requirements before listing real estate projects. However, by the time of publication, we had not received a response.
