The Samara Progressive Association (APROSA- Asociacion Progresista de Samara) invested about four million colones (about $7500) in repairing the sidewalks around the local school to ensure road safety for the students.

The work started on November 3rd with funds from the civic fiestas that were organized at the end of December 2013 and the beginning of January 2014.

“As part of the social investment that we are making, we decided to repair 100 meters of sidewalks around the school of Samara. The idea is to address community needs,” commented Emilce Steller, treasurer of the association.

In addition to this work, the association donated a refrigerator to the school valued at 600,000 colones (about $1100).
