After the Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties, in many places there is not much to do, but in Nosara, the party is just getting started in January, when the district holds its community festivals.

The fiestas will take place from January 28th to February 2nd and, according to Martin Chacon, Vice President of the Nosara Integral Development Association (ADIN), this year’s fairground will be set up in the new sports field, located between San Pedro and Santa Teresa.

As part of the celebration program, there will be bull riding every evening at 6 p.m., as well as fireworks.

On Friday, the 30th, the most beautiful woman in the district will be crowned Miss Nosara 2015 at 9 p.m., and then the dance party will get started with music by the group Son del Barrio.

Without a doubt, Saturday, January 31st, will be one of the highlights of the festivities, when the revelry will begin at 2 p.m. with the grand Nosara Tope (horse parade), which will depart from the Multipurpose Hall. After the parade, there will be a concert at 4 p.m. by the band Chiqui Chiqui, who will get Nosarans dancing to songs like La Avispa or El Cangrejo.

The musicians will take the stage again on Saturday to spice things up with a dance at 9 p.m. in the fiesta hall next to the bull ring in the new field. As of press time, the ticket prices for the dance were not known.

In addition to the dances, all of the bull riding events will have surprises with bull and horse riders and even the improvisational bull riders from Zapote, who will visit the coast.
