For the Harbor Reef restaurant in Nosara, Sundays are the best day of the week and they start a bit late. Starting in May, the restaurant is offering a brunch buffet featuring a variety of foods that are perfect for having brunch.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests can file through to fill their plates (and stomachs) with everything they can eat. The buffet is self-service.
Those looking for traditional food will find gallo pinto, along with plantain or yucca empanadas. There are also three kinds of pancakes (banana, with bacon or regular), scrambled eggs, onion rings, chips with guacamole, fruit salad and kebabs, among other options.
The Brunch costs $11 for adults and $6 for kids under twelve years old. It includes a glass of champagne, a mimosa or hibiscus cocktail. From noon on, there is live music presented by the band Los Bichos, a local group that plays rock n’ roll covers.
