Bees are the most complex and productive farm workers in the world. Without them, the flowers of plants and trees that produce fruits and vegetables would not be fertilized, and therefore would not produce our food. Our ultra-dependent relationship with them is that simple, direct and dramatic. Entomologist Sara Galbraith studied them. Here is a resume of her results.
