The renowned travel website, published a list this past February of the top 10 beaches in Central America, where as the beaches of Guanacaste Playa Guiones and Avellanas appear at the top.
Playa Guiones in Nosara ranks third, and fifth is Avellanas beach.
Also in the ranking, five other beaches of Costa Rica appear. Santa Teresa, Manuel Antonio National Park and Playa Hermosa.

On Tripavisor´s ranking, we can find recommendations on when is the best time to go to beaches, gathering feedback from visitors, as well as a guide to hotels, restaurants, and hostels.
In addition to the tico beaches, Tripadvisor recommends West Bay Beach and Roatan in Honduras, Red Frog Beach and Playa Estrellas of Bocas del Toro Panama, and Nicaragua’s beach Las Penitas.
In 2013, CNN published the article “11 places to go in 2014,” where they included Nosara as one of the recommended places to visit during international travelers’ next vacation and the magazine National Geographic selected Nosara as one of the best places to visit in 2014.
Also the web site Huffington Post, visited by thousands of people per day, included Nosara on its list of “The Best Surf Towns For People Who Don’t Actually Surf.”
