Get ready for higher gasoline prices in the coming days. That is the word by the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) – regulator of public prices and services.
The Aresep approved on Monday 25 a hike of ¢17 colones for a liter of super and ¢15 for regular and diesel fuel.According to Aresep spokesperson, Carolina Mora, the increase is to geopolitical processes that affect international prices.
The notice of the increase was expected to be at the national printer by yesterday Thursday February 28, which will then be required to publish within 3 to 5 days and prices taking effect the day following publication.Thus, the increase could be as early as Monday March 4. The hike also affects compressed natural gas, kerosene and aviation fuels.
