January Astrology Report

By Ashley Laux
[email protected]

When January begins – we are in the midst of a transformation. The way forward is becoming clear, though it may be different than we imagined. Respect others gifts, and awaken your own talents. Release fears and find forgiveness. Understand there is more than enough room for us all to glow brightly. Be inspired by a sense of purpose, motivated to make changes and enthusiastic about the future.

A new moon eclipse in Capricorn on the 4th will push us into action. Get to work on building a solid foundation, assuring that your dreams will manifest. Partnerships and physical intimacy come to the foreground. Positive aspects help to keep morale high, ushering in new friends and connections. Follow the energy and passion behind things that “turn you on”. Gifts brought to bear now will require hard work and tenacity to come to fruition. We can finally see how our seeds will take root.

On the 8th Venus moves into Sagittarius, lightening up our lives considerably. Give and receive love. Embrace freedom and avoid attempting to control others. Open to inspiration. Seek out people who exhilarate you! Begin to move beyond personal limitations. Engage in philosophical conversation. Open to feeling uplifted within your heart AND mind, for greatest rewards.

Mental Mercury returns to the sign of Capricorn on the 14th, and we can begin to firm up our plans.
Be realistic, dependable and organized. Dedication and discipline are the necessary input to make your dreams into reality. Avoid self righteous and headstrong behavior. Remain humble and genuine as you move towards your goals.

On the 16th Mars moves into evolutionary Sagittarius, and our ability to focus on the mundane becomes limited. We may feel erratic and unpredictable- ready to follow our authentic impulses, and flashes of insight. Band together with like-minded comrades. Explore technological advancements. Take a walk on the wild side.

The full moon falls on the 19th in Cancer, highlighting home, family, real estate and the ocean. We are torn between clinging to what we know, and moving forward, into the unknown. Spend a moment questioning whether your commitments align with your deepest truths. Try not to make any choices before you are ready because emotions can run high. Be patient in communication with others. Take time to discern what will really make you happy.

Many blessings and pura vida!

Children’s Effort Became a Dance

The boys run all around with red scarves in their hands. The girls line up for makeup while their mothers make last-minute adjustments to their typical dresses. Excitement and anxiety are the air.
