Nosara's Homeland: its Fiestas Uncovered

With open arms, Nosara received hundreds of visitors and party-goers eager to continue celebrating the New Year. On Friday, January 28th, the second day of the Fiestas, the bull riding events started at 7 p.m. with bulls from La Nueva Esperanza and La Gloria Hacienda, who brought bulls such as the Tequila, Miguelito, El Mechón, El Arete, El Comején, Bolita, Carqueso, Bon Bon and El Dalmata. The boys run all around with red scarves in their hands. The girls line up for makeup while their mothers make last-minute adjustments to their typical dresses. Excitement and anxiety are the air. of the Year is Coming

This year, the Nosara fiesta will give people something to talk about. The party menu includes a parade of performers, clowns and bands. In addition, the equestrian parade is expected to bring more than 200 riders from all over the country and, as in any fiesta, the music won’t be missing. The organizers have planned two concerts per day: one in the afternoon (free) and another at night, which will have an admission price. More >
