A group of young Nosareños with Jordan Lopez Cordero and Luis Saiden as head of the team, launched a campaign through the social network Facebook (FB) to build a skatepark on the basketball court at Serapio Lopez School.
The initiative, launched in early December, had a great reception from users of FB, who applauded the idea. The new skatepark is touted as a project to “promote skating as a sport and thus introduce a new activity for young people and to help them stay away from drugs and other vices.” Nosara does not have a sports center and thus there is a lack of development opportunities for those who enjoy sports other than soccer and surfing. |
