Deva Premal and Miten Offer Concert in Nosara

The Blue Spirit Retreat Center is presenting one public concert of Deva Premal and Miten, whose acclaimed ecstatic chant and kirtan recordings are ubiquitous background music to yoga classes world-wide. The couple are presenting workshops at Blue Spirit and evening concert on April 14.The duo's string of CDs, with international sales of a million, began after they met in India in 1990 at an ashram of the spiritual leader Osho. Vocalist Premal grew up with parents deep into the Hindu musical tradition, and Miten was a professional rock guitarist who found deeper meaning in Osho's teachings.

They are joined by musicians Shyamdas and Manose, a Nepalese flute player.

Concert-goers are asked to show up a half hour in advance. Tickets for the 8 pm concert at Blue Spirit's SkyMindHall are $25 and available in advance at Blue Spirit and the Organico MiniSuper next to Coconut Harry's.

Their concerts and ecstatic chant workshops are met with rave reviews throughout Europe, Australia, South America, Canada and the United States.
