Nosara was treated to a local surf contest this past weekend of May 12 and 13 organized by Nosara Tico Surf School. Offshore winds and sunny skies lasted nearly all day for the competition.
Esteban Lopez Paniagua, who co-owns and operates Nosara Tico Surf School, explained the dual purposes of the contest: to support the Nosara Surf Team, and to raise money for charitable projects.
The Nosara Surf Team is a way to motivate local kids with talent, giving them opportunities to travel, stay in school, give back, and develop their surf talent. |
