There's Hope for Pavement in Downtown Nosara

By Arianna McKinney

Although the promise of paving the route to Nosara remains uncertain, there is a glimmer of hope that 2 kilometers in the center of Nosara might get paved.

Marcos Avila, president of the Nosara Development Association, confirmed that the association has obtained approval for funding of 25 million colones ($50,000) from DINADECO for the project and MOPT visited Nosara on Tuesday, May 15th to conduct studies and begin elaborating the designs that will then need to be presented to DINADECO. If all goes well, the work might happen in late June or early July.

Pavement might soon fix this section of road in front of Soda Aeropuerto in
Nosara where people have to drive on the shoulder because of the potholes.

The area to be paved includes the stretch of road from the pharmacy to the Fucan and also the road to 100 meters past Super Nosara. Avila said the work could be done in one morning as the pavement dries in about 20 minutes, so rainy season won't hinder the project.
