By Giordano Ciampini

New Year's Eve, usually a night filled with revelry, celebration is coming down to the wire, and if you still have no clue what to do, or where to go, we here at VON have have got you covered with a few options for the last-minute party crasher.

Although reservations for Beach Dog Cafe's dinner are already booked up solid, the doors open to the general public following the meal to make room for a special NYE concert with Santos y Zurdo, a Costa Rican electronic dance music duo who will be banging out tunes to ring in the new year with. Doors open for the concert at 9:30PM

For the seventh year in a row, the Black Sheep Private Pub has been helping Nosarans and expats alike get more in touch with their inner beer connoisseur. Pub owner Joe will be supplying fireworks for midnight, and has scheduled San Jose favourite Mumble Riot to play during the festivities. Expect to be wowed with local and foreign brews, some taps and some bottles. Doors open at 6:00PM

Guiones' own Marlin Bill's will be ringing in the new year with their usual fine selection of fresh fish and grilled meat to whet your appetite, and some live music to round out the evening. After working as a stage hand for years at Colorado's premier music venue Red Rocks, Terry Gulley has brought his own musical flair down to Nosara with him, and has been entertaining the local crowd for years. Dinnertime seats are available from 7:00PM

Chaman Bar is looking to corner the rocksteady set looking for a night of revelry and dance, with an eclectic mix of music styles sure to please any party-goer. Local-bred DJ Black will be starting off the evening with Jamaican dancehall music to start up the jams, followed by Paul DaCosta spinning some of the finest in electronic music to keep the energy flowing, all before mellowing out with Chaman owner and music-maker Will Freeman on the tables with some classic reggae. Doors open at 9:00PM
