| We are excited to announce the winners of the Water Conservation drawing and writing contest organized by the Environmental Committee of Del Mar Academy. The following are the winners of the different categories: Chiara Britschgi from Del Mar Academy won the drawing category, Britanny Castillo from Serapio López won the story category, John Harry Duarte from Santa Marta school won the essay category and Julián Monge from Del Mar Academy won the poem category. |

On April 6th, Bobbi Johnson from the Nosara Civic Association, Rick Walker from the local Asada, Gerardo Bolaños de Sustainably Manager at Harmony and Damaris Matarrita – all of which are community members that are well-known for their environmental commitment and leadership – were invited to select the grand winners of this green educational contest.
The environmental education contest which is held at Del Mar Academy every year was piloted in two more schools this year: Serapio López and Santa Marta. Due to this year's success, the environmental committee plans to extend the contest to all of the schools in the area next year. Prior to entering into the drawing and writing contest all of the students from these different schools received a water conservation presentation. Each school had its own internal process to select its finalists.
