On December 5, the penal court dismissed proceedings against a man whose last names are Perez Muñoz, who was accused of raping a woman in Nosara in the neighborhood of Santa Marta on November 16, as confirmed by the court’s press department.
Perez Muñoz told VON that the court ordered him to stay away from Nosara while the case was under investigation, so he went to stay with a brother of his for two weeks. Later his lawyer called to tell him that the woman dropped the charges against him.
He related that he and the woman who accused him of raping her were at a party that night with other people and that they had a relationship previously. He suspects that the accusation was motivated by jealousy.
