Compete, enjoy and win. The C&C surf tournament, which will be held on Saturday the 20th at 11:00 AM at Playa Sámara, will give local surfers the chance to demonstrate their abilities on the waves.
Registration is open to the public in the following categories: open, juniors and boys, all with a cost of 3000 colones which can be paid at the C&C surf school, located on the beach.
Adolfo Gómez, owner of C&C, explained that the contest is held every year to promote competition among surfers from the community. He recalled that last year about 42 athletes signed up and that they expect a similar number this year.
This year, first place will receive 50,000 colones, 30,000 for second 20,000 for third. In addition, Gómez stressed that there will be prizes of sportswear for the competitors.
