The Nosara Development Association (ADIN) and the Municipality of Nicoya managed road maintenance in the San Ramon community and the Los Angeles neighborhood, both located in Nosara.
This was reported by Marcos Avila, president of the ADIN, noting that the city hall sent a bulldozer during the first and second week of May, which did the work along the route.
Avila explained that during those weeks the municipal machinery was working on the roads for more than 40 hours and ADIN contributed to these earth movements with 325,000 colones ($650) from their budget.
Moreover Avila confirmed that on Friday, May 17, the construction company Raasa signed a contract with the municipality in an amount close to 9 million colones ($18,000), coming from local government resources established by the 8114 Law for cantonal routes.
The company will begin repair work this week from the intersection at Garza Beach to Las Delicias in Garza Then work will be extended until June with maintaining several cantonal sections including from the area known as The Five Corners to Playa Pelada .
Also, they will work from La Estancia to the bus stop before the Bocas de Nosara High School through the neighborhood of Los Arenales, and then continue from the EBAIS until San Juan. Finally, Avila said that they will include repairing the road leading to the community of Santa Marta up to the intersection of Nosara.
