Playa Guiones has an extension of approximately 5 kms and is part of the Ostional Wildlife Refuge, located in the province of Guanacaste. For three years now, the project has been operating in Playa Guiones, promoting reforestation of this beach, joining forces with the community to offset deforestation and soil damage caused by cattle raising a few decades ago.
The tree planting campaign was divided in two stages and in total approximately 1890 trees and stakes where planted. The second stage closed this June with the participation and love of 5 different local schools and community volunteers.
