From the north of Mexico to the south of Chile, folk dance has its different cultural expresions, and all of that Latin American fragrance, color and flavor will come to life in Guanacaste with the International Festival of Latin Folklore—United by Dance.

The dance event will tour nine cantons of Guanacaste and will be presented in the neighboring cantons of Upala and Naranjo. In these presentations, shows will be performed by the groups Estampas Mexicanas (Mexican Prints) from Mexico, Parceros de Tulum from Chile, Imagenes de Mi Tierra (Images from My Land) from Peru and a dancing couple from Panama.

In total, 44 international dancers will participate and there will be dances by folk groups from the different cantons where they perform.

According to Guillermina Segura, event organizer, this festival has been held in the province since 2012, thanks to the creation of the International Association of Latino Folklore, of which she is a member.
