The Panamanian rock band Los Rabanes (The Radiators) will perform this Saturday, October 12th, at the Country Disco Bar in the city of Nicoya.
One of the most famous songs of Los Rabanes is “My Commanding Wife” of their album “Los Rabanes,” made in 2000 with renowned producer Emilio Estefan.
In 2008, with the release of their sixth album “Kamikaze,” they became the first rock/ska band from Panama (or all Central America) to win a Latin Grammy for Best Vocal Rock Album, Duo or Group.
Los Rabanes shared the stage on promotional tours throughout Latin America with bands such as Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Los Auténticos Decadentes, Todos Tus Muertos , Aterciopelados, Maldita Vecindad and Ruben Blades, and won awards such as the Best New Band of Rock in Spanish .
Tickets can be purchased in advance at Coral Boutique Nicoya, Jewelry Mundia, Libreria Ayales, or Moto Repuestos La Anexión. In Hojancha, they can be bought in Supermercado Fabio and in Santa Cruz at Coral Boutique. The presale price is ₡5,000; tickets will cost ₡8,000 on the day of the event.
The national groups Agua Quina and Los Ajenos will play as well.
