Esta publicación también está disponible en: Español

The Chorotega culture is one of the richest legacies that Costa Rica obtained when the Party of Nicoya was accepted as part of the national territory. Although the language is extinct, The Voice of Guanacaste decided to rescue some of the words that are documented in the Juan Santiago Quiros Dictionary. How the word is pronounced is indicated in italics (with English phonetic pronunciations in parenthesis when necessary) and how the word is written is in bold.
