Esta publicación también está disponible en: Español

Nosara’s third annual dog party, that is, ‘Dog Show,’ is scheduled for June 2 and will again feature many of Nosara’s undisciplined mutts along with their four-legged trainers.

Registration fees for a variety of talent events, such as owner look-alike and biggest ears, will go to Nosara Animal Care, which provides critical spay/neutering services. The Go Dog Go Dog Show will start at 9:30 am at the tennis courts at Campo Alegre where chicken eating or horse biting dogs are not welcome. Leashes are required.

Follow the signs behind the Nosara Yoga Institute to lot K-13. Entry forms should be turned in at the Century 21/La Costa Rentals office by June 1, along with entry fees of ¢5,000 per category, or ¢8,000 for onsite registration. The form is available online at: http://www.nosaraweb.com/Go-Dog-Go-2013-BLK-9-Dog-Show-Entry-Form-Rules.html Contest categories include ‘Most Obedient’ and ‘Terrific Pet Tricks,’ but attack commands this year are prohibited.

If your dog is not competitive as a kisser, tail wagger, or prettiest or ugliest, you can name your own category for an additional fee of ¢10,000. Ribbons will be awarded and winners of each category will compete for ‘Best of Show.’ Beverages available for purchase include Salty Dogs, Greyhounds, Bloody Marys and beer.
