A meeting with Public Force Director Colonel Juan Jose Andrade has been confirmed, in response to the request made by the Samara Community Security Committee to meet with high-ranking public security officials.

The news was confirmed by Alvaro Teran on Friday, August 8. Teran is a member of the Nosara Community Security Committee; he reported that the meeting would be held on August 21.

Teran also indicated that there have been conversations with Minister of Security Celso Gambo to request his attendance as well. However, at the moment, only Andrade’s visit has been confirmed.

For his part, Rigoberto Rodriguez, the regional Public Force director, told The Voice that the meeting with Andrade has been confirmed for that date.

Samara residents have requested that more resources be invested in the area in response to a recent increase in crime.
