The Hidden Talents of Arepa

Going through the Nosara gasoline station at noon, you will probably encounter with a particular scene: a man singing loudly as in an opera while selling some of the best ceviches in the area.

Jose Lopez , better known as “Arepa”, has lived in this town most of his life, and for more than five years makes his living selling authentic sea bass ceviche.

” Arepa is a man of many talents besides making ceviche ,” says Mike Risick , creator of the video where the story of Arepa is told along with the recipe . “He is a man with an inspirational story of creating a job for himself selling ceviche, all while singing a happy tune. Hidden talents are everywhere. When I return to Nosara, I know one of the first things I will do… find Arepa”.
