Not all schools are equal. This is logical, but there are schools that have more history, aesthetics and value. That’s why six institutions in Guanacaste have been declared Costa Rican Historic-Architectural National Heritage.
Most of them were designed by renowned architect Jose Maria Barrantes, National Architectural Prize winner, who used art deco and Victorian styles, characterized by large windows, inner courtyards, geometric figures and wooden ornamentation. We present them here.
