Toro Negro Restaurant: Savage Flavor

You have to sit down to eat an exquisite cut of meat at Restaurante Rustico Toro Negro in Liberia. If you are looking to give yourself a treat in life, your taste buds will thank you.

The restaurant specializes  in grilled beef and buffalo, and the authentic taste of Guanacaste haciendas in a cozy and rustic atmosphere.

On the menu of select meats, you can choose fine cuts like 380 grams of Delmonico loin (¢11,000/$20.75), 400 grams of Rib-Eye Steak with bone (¢12,000/$22.70) / 400 grams of the popular Churrasco steak (¢12,000/$22.70) or 500 grams of T-Bone Steak (¢12,500/$23.50).

The presentation of each plate is excellent and it is served on a small grill which is placed hot on the table with two previously selected side dishes with options like rice, onion cooked over firewood, salad, French fries, sautéed potatoes, mashed potatoes or vegetables.

In addition, the restaurant offers other delights like chicken, pizza cooked over firewood, seafood and sushi.

For drinks, there are a variety of liquors, smoothies made with water or milk, iced tea, lemonade with spearmint or mint, and sangria

The restaurant is located in the center of town behind the Catholic Church in Liberia and it has a VIP room with air conditioning.
