Thanksgiving Dinner in Nosara (and Other Things to Do)

During this “mini high season” that Nosara experiences during Thanksgiving Week, there are several new places to go to eat, as well as the classic places where you can have Thanksgiving dinner and special events too.

Like every year, Marlin Bill’s restaurant offers one of the area’s most complete buffets. Traditional thanksgiving dinner is $25 from 6 to 9 p.m. Reservations can be made at 2682-0458. Marlin Bill’s is above Economy Rent a Car.

Another classic is Harbor Reef’s restaurant. This year they decided that turkey is king all day and they will be serving turkey for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast, you can order the gallo pinto wrap with turkey and cranberry sauce or if you’re a vegetarian, ask for the vegetable wrap with cranberries and feta cheese.  During lunch, turkey sandwiches will be served and for dinner, they offer the entire Thanksgiving menu. Prices range from $10 to $25 without drinks. For dinner, there will be guitar music.

For reservations, call 2682-0303. Harbor Reef is 100 meters south of the main entrance to Guiones Beach.

You can also make a reservation at Beach Dog Café, which offers a three-course meal for $25 per person. Beach Dog is 100 meters south of the main entrance to Guiones Beach.

If you’re looking for a place to give thanks along with others in a more intimate and informal atmosphere, go to the Nosara Retreat in Playa Pelada at 5 p.m. with one or two plates of food made by you.
